I found a new addiction! Mokume Gane
There’s something magical about slicing into a funky looking block of clay to reveal magical pattern after magical pattern.
Not familiar with this technique? See my Rainbow Mokume Gane Video
I created several Valentine’s Day inspired pink/red mokume gane stacks for my Mokume Gane experiments video (coming soon).
And since I had all this clay I had to do something with it.
I found the jewelry making process not only addictive, but so relaxing that I kept at it for days and weeks at a time. And I’ve only gotten through half so far.
This means I am definitely sticking to my resolution of sculpting more to relax more in 2015.
Here are some of the resulting pieces. These are available for purchase in my Etsy shop: Etsy.com/shop/MagicByLeah
Plenty more to come so stay tuned
I love your beautiful jewelry !!! And Mokume Gane is soooo addicting, when I first discovered it a few years back, I covered all sorts of things with it…… would have done the car but ran out of clay !!!! Beautiful work …..thank you for sharing…
